CIOs Microsoft Informer Column Reported on a Planned New Line of Branch Office Appliances Combining Microsofts Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server with Citrix WANScaler Network Acceleration Technology
8/23/2006 » CIO, Robert McMillan » CIO magazine provided details regarding the project between Citrix and Microsoft to co-develop a line of appliances that will provide an easy way to drop business applications into branch offices, according to Citrix executive Wes Wasson. The first product, which will carry the Citrix brand, is slated to ship by the end of 2007. Citrixs contribution to the device will include WANScaler technology acquired from Orbital Data and remote management capabilities.
