In a feature article on the future of desktops, Business Week included several mentions about Citrix technologies and its BYOC program.
1/5/2009 » Business Week, Rachael King » Stating that one in four companies is experimenting with virtual desktops to cut costs, this article cited Citrix virtualization technology several times, including as a desktop delivery option for Nationwide Insurance and as a solution for Mutual of Omaha, which has saved $800,000 with XenApp application virtualization. The Citrix Bring Your Own Computer program, including a quote from a Citrix software engineer, was featured as an option for reducing IT costs. The article noted that Citrix uses virtual desktop delivery to provide BYOC users with applications.
